The Honeywell Group came into existence in the year 1972. The group started off first as Honeywell Enterprises, a registered business name, and then later evolved into a limited liability company about a year later. At the early stages, the company was named and existed primarily to formalize the foods and regional North/South trading activities belonging to the Chairman’s late mother, which extended beyond Nigeria to Ghana and other West Africa countries.
In the early seventies, the Honeywell Enterprises Limited expanded its trading operations to become a major importer of baking yeast and milk from Holland, Stockfish from Norway, Glass from Czechoslovakia, Steel Rods from Brazil just to mention a few.
The Honeywell Group has grown over the years to become one of Nigeria’s leading private indigenous conglomerates. The Honeywell Group is now a major diversified group engaged in select businesses in key sectors of the Nigerian economy, namely; Engineering, Energy, Foods, Real Estate and Services sectors, and through other Portfolio investments the Group is also a significant provider of capital to other sectors of Nigeria’s economy including Banking and Telecommunications.
Honeywell Group is now a major diversified group employing over 10,000 local and expatriate staff.
