Dr. Oba Otudeko CFR, Chairman, Honeywell Group, has emerged winner of the 2014 Ernst & Young (EY) Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his contributions towards wealth, value and employment creation. The award was conferred on him at the 2014 EY West Africa Entrepreneur of The Year Award Ceremony held at the Eko Hotel, Lagos on Friday 14thNovember.

The EY West Africa Entrepreneur of The Year Award was instituted to celebrate high-growth entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

Presenting the award, Ernst & Young Regional Managing Partner for West Africa, Henry Egbiki, noted that winners were chosen based on the critical factors of value creation, wealth management and employment generation among other things.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Oba Otudeko expressed his gratitude to EY for the honour while also stressing that the award for him is an inspiration to continue on the path of national and global relevance through the creation of sustainable wealth and building enduring legacies.
