As part of its end-of-year corporate social responsibility activities, Honeywell Group, through the Oba Otudeko Foundation, delivered essential food support to 2,000 households, reaching nearly 10,000 individuals across Ogun State, Nigeria. The statewide outreach covered communities in Odogbolu, Sagamu, Abeokuta (Egba), and Ilaro, with a focus on elderly residents and vulnerable households.
Delivered in partnership with local leadership, the initiative reflects our Chairman, Dr. Oba Otudeko, CFR’s long-standing commitment to people-centred development and aligns with Honeywell Group’s social impact pillars, which emphasise, education, and entrepreneurship as pathways to creating value that transcends generations.
Beneficiaries including elderly residents, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable community members—received food provision packs containing staples such as rice, garri, and other essential items to support household feeding during the festive period.
Speaking on behalf of the Foundation, Mrs. Yewande Giwa noted that the initiative reflects the values of the Founder and Chairman, Dr. Oba Otudeko, CFR.
“Dr. Oba Otudeko, CFR, has always maintained that true leadership is measured by the lives it uplifts. This outreach embodies that philosophy meeting real needs while strengthening communities through practical support.”

Starting at Home: Odogbolu
The outreach commenced in Odogbolu, the hometown of the Chairman, and was held at the town hall. Community members and traditional leaders, including the Aláyè-in-Council, warmly received the Foundation’s team and offered prayers for the continued leadership and impact of Honeywell Group.

Sagamu and Abeokuta (Egba)
In Sagamu, the Foundation was received by HRM Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CON, the Akarigbo of Sagamu, with beneficiaries describing the support as timely and thoughtful.

The Egba community outreach, held at the Centenary Hall in Abeokuta, reached elderly and vulnerable households through an orderly distribution process. Following the outreach, the Foundation paid a courtesy visit to HRM Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III, the Alake of Egbaland, who commended the Chairman’s leadership and impact-driven philanthropy.

Closing in Ilaro
The final phase took place in Ilaro, where community leaders and beneficiaries expressed appreciation for being included through practical support that prioritised wellbeing and care.
Implemented through a zonal rollout in collaboration with traditional institutions and local stakeholders, the outreach underscores Honeywell Group’s belief that sustainable impact is achieved through partnership, structure, and respect for community systems.
Through the Oba Otudeko Foundation, Honeywell Group continues to advance long-term social impact across its key pillars, guided by empathy and a deep sense of responsibility to society.
